Middlemen

Middlemen are an acoustic guitar duo based in Buffalo, NY.

 

The band got its start in 2013 when Tom Maynor and Dan Nolan, two middle school teachers who performed with students and colleagues over the years, decided to perform on a regular basis throughout Buffalo and other parts of Western New York.  While they started off covering songs by The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Wilco, the Band, Tom Petty, and others, their current set list features mostly original material.  The songs are best described as folk-rock with strong harmonies.

 

Middlemen have performed at a variety of  WNY/Buffalo venues, including Buffalo History Museum, Charlie's Boat Yard, Hoak's Restaurant, Iron Works, Mister Goodbar, Nietzsche's, The 9th Ward, Penny Lane, Raclettes French Bistro, Rohall's Corner, Sportsmens Tavern, The Tralf, and Tudor Lounge.

They have also performed with other popular local bands, including Crikwater, Davey O, The Observers and Workingman’s Dead.
